So I picked up Spore yesterday. I have to say, I was greatly impressed. I knew the game would be good, but I was a bit unsure if it would have the bite it needed to keep me hooked. If you haven't played it, don't let the cartoonish graphics fool you. This game is worth the cost as it's 5 games in one. Each stage of the game is a slightly simplified version of pre-existing games.

The cell stage is, by all means, pac-man meets evolution. Eat your power pellets, grow spikes, kill big mean ghosts...er cellular organisms.

The creature stage is an interesting turn. You still get to evolve and create your creature through killing other species, befriending them, or rooting through skeletons (Look ma! I found a foot! Can I wear it??). Protip - Always target the alphas of each species you encounter, whether you want to eat it, or take it to the Bears game. You always get a new part for evolution that way.

The tribe stage reminded me a bit of Age of Empires. You need to hunt, fish, and gather while appeasing the other locals. You don't get to evolve anymore at this phase, so you get to dress in oddly coloured, and strange fitting garments. And you get to make instruments to win people over through song, or you can bash their skulls in with weapons of awesomeness. It took me seriously 5 minutes to figure out I needed to have instruments equipped to sing for opposing tribes.

The civilization stage is pretty much civilization (Sid Meier) sans the turn based grid systems. You get minute control over each city, but you have total control over a number of vehicles. You need to go to each city in the world and conquer them either through evangelical work, or by brute military force. I found it best to just keep sending steady streams of troops to each city when you attack rather than try to build up squads of units (granted you want to start with sending your max troop count in first)

I'm at the space stage trying to figure out what needs to be done. This portion of the game seems to be more of a solo adventure much like the creature stage. So It's the creature stage...in space! You Han Solo your way to many different star systems to make friends, colonize planets, search for pirate treasure, and make the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs. From what I've read, this part of the game is absolutely open ended and the longest section of the game. You earn badges from doing missions for your people and the other cultures you encounter. As you earn badges, you rank up allowing you to eventually build a fleet (I have 2 ships in my fleet right now). You can conquer through force, befriend everyone, buy them out, but you need to make your civilization top dawg of the space food chain.

Halo Everyone,
I have been busy for some months now, trying to get the CA to run proper.

Specs :
RPS13 200SX CA18DET : Engine overhauled 7k miles ago.(I suspect it does have NA pistons in, or the head was skimmed too much) Safari T25 Turbo (replacement) running aprox 7PSI boost currently. Stock airbox.2.5”Exhaust. I did not overhaul the engine, I bought it like this.

It starts fine, doesn’t bog or splutter, drives fine except for the pinking.
As soon as boost goes above 5 Psi on �- 1/2 throttle or so, the engine starts to ping.

So far I have tried the following to rectify it(at different times, not all at once)

1)Replaced the fuel pump with a new high flow Bosch unit.
2)Replaced the fuel filter with a new one
3)Replaced the plugs with BCPR7ES-11. (1 grade colder than stock)
4)Retarded the Cas timing aprox 7 degrees running on 95 Unleaded
5)Removed injectors, and had them cleaned. (Not reinstalled yet, will happen tonight)The injectors didnt have much dirt in them,and the spray pattern was very good!
6)Ran diagnostics on the ECU, and the ecu threw the knock sensor code (Found out RSA Ca18det`s didn’t have knock sensors) so I ignored it.

I though that perhaps I should have a look at the factory timing map.

*Please refer to the attached map of a stock CA18DET*

I marked the area where the knock occurs.Is it running to much timing,looks to aggresive for something with a 9.5+ Compression ratio???

PLEASE! Help, I don’t know what to do anymore!All help,and suggestions appreciated!

I searched but so far have not seen any procedure for dropping the oil pan. I think it involves supporting the engine from above, dropping the sway bar/cross member/rack&pinion/lower suspension, then unbolting and dropping the pan.

I've looked, and seen what looks like a lifting loop on the passenger bank, toward the rear of the engine, and no loop on the driver side. Can anyone say how to attach to and suspend the engine?

I have an engine lift, but I'd prefer to make a stand that will sit on the car body between the upper mcpherson strut mounts and fender bolts - the engine lift will get in the way underneath the engine.

Lastly, are pan gaskets available? If so I'd like to use a gasket rather than rtv.

I'm the type of person that gets very irritated by little things and they often make all the difference for me in a purchase/no purchase decision. As owners of Versas, what could you tell me are the little things that irritate you about your Versa?

Also add things that make the car great.

I bought this for my car at home (I'm a contractor in Iraq) and it wasnt what I requested - was asking for a much larger turbo.

It's literally brand new, but my mechanics bolted on to the manifold. If it's sold in the next 2 weeks, it'll have never seen use at all, otherwise Ill use it to tune and that's it. Paid $850 or $950 I cant remember, whatever market price is.

I'll sell it for $700 shipped, OBO, but it's gotta be pretty close to that or I'll just keep it. Here's your chance to get a brand new turbo for $200+ off retail.

Greetings all. Normally on the bmw forums for my 3 80's era 6 series. Air conditioner is blowing cold, however loud as hell when off, and quiets when turned on. I surmize its the clutch and clutch only. Is the clutch accessable to remove without removing compressor? I would presume not available alone, but was thinking boneyard compresser would suffice just for the clutch. Its a metal on metal sound when not on and again, preey quiet when engaged. BTW, its a 2000 I30. Thanks

Oh f*ck. Someone move this to the politics section.

It seems most of the political discussion and conjecture in mass media and even here focuses on side issues. No one is debating core issues and philosophies. Does this mean we've all made up our minds, and there's no need for policy discussion?

Instead of "We should leave/complete the mission in Iraq" we have "Palin's kid is retarded, and the other is a slut! Obama's a muslim!"

We hear about Jeremiah Wright, but no one is discussing any of Obama's expensive and ambitious agenda, or what it is that makes Senator McCain effectively different from President Bush.

Apparently our minds are already made up on the economy, the war, and everything else, so all that is left to discuss are scandals.

My point is this: In the end, Celebrity-O and Cranky Old Mac are going to give us more government. They only rape us through different orifices.
I'm not suggesting the two candidates are the same, but more spending and more government is to be expected from both, even if one is worse than the other.

ABOUT SARAH PALIN

I am a resident of Wasilla, Alaska. I have known Sarah since 1992.
Everyone here knows Sarah, so it is nothing special to say we are on a
first-name basis. Our children have attended the same schools. Her
father was my child's favorite substitute teacher. I also am on a
first name basis with her parents and mother-in-law. I attended more
City Council meetings during her administration than about 99% of the
residents of the city.

She is enormously popular; in every way she�s like the most popular
girl in middle school. Even men who think she is a poor choice and
won't vote for her can't quit smiling when talking about her because
she is a "babe".

It is astonishing and almost scary how well she can keep a secret. She
kept her most recent pregnancy a secret from her children and parents
for seven months.

She is "pro-life". She recently gave birth to a Down's syndrome baby.
There is no cover-up involved, here; Trig is her baby.

She is energetic and hardworking. She regularly worked out at the gym.

She is savvy. She doesn't take positions; she just "puts things out
there" and if they prove to be popular, then she takes credit.

Her husband works a union job on the North Slope for BP and is a
champion snowmobile racer. Todd Palin�s kind of job is highly
sought-after because of the schedule and high pay. He arranges his
work schedule so he can fish for salmon in Bristol Bay for a month or
so in summer, but by no stretch of the imagination is fishing their
major source of income. Nor has her life-style ever been anything
like that of native Alaskans.

Sarah and her whole family are avid hunters.

She's smart.

Her experience is as mayor of a city with a population of about 5,000
(at the time), and less than 2 years as governor of a state with about
670,000 residents.

During her mayoral administration most of the actual work of running
this small city was turned over to an administrator. She had been
pushed to hire this administrator by party power-brokers after she had
gotten herself into some trouble over precipitous firings which had
given rise to a recall campaign.

Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a �fiscal conservative�. During her 6
years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over
33%. During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the
City increased by 38%. This was during a period of low inflation
(1996-2002). She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a
regressive sales tax which taxed even food. The tax cuts that she
promoted benefited large corporate property owners way more than they
benefited residents.

The huge increases in tax revenues during her mayoral administration
weren�t enough to fund everything on her wish list though, borrowed
money was needed, too. She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it
with indebtedness of over $22 million. What did Mayor Palin encourage
the voters to borrow money for? Was it the infrastructure that she said
she supported? The sewage treatment plant that the city lacked? or a
new library? No. $1m for a park. $15m-plus for construction of a
multi-use sports complex which she rushed through to build on a piece
of property that the City didn�t even have clear title to, that was
still in litigation 7 yrs later--to the delight of the lawyers
involved! The sports complex itself is a nice addition to the
community but a huge money pit, not the profit-generator she claimed it
would be. She also supported bonds for $5.5m for road projects that
could have been done in 5-7 yrs without any borrowing.

While Mayor, City Hall was extensively remodeled and her office
redecorated more than once.

These are small numbers, but Wasilla is a very small city.

As an oil producer, the high price of oil has created a budget surplus
in Alaska. Rather than invest this surplus in technology that will
make us energy independent and increase efficiency, as Governor she
proposed distribution of this surplus to every individual in the state.

In this time of record state revenues and budget surpluses, she
recommended that the state borrow/bond for road projects, even while
she proposed distribution of surplus state revenues: spend today's
surplus, borrow for needs.

She�s not very tolerant of divergent opinions or open to outside ideas
or compromise. As Mayor, she fought ideas that weren�t generated by
her or her staff. Ideas weren�t evaluated on their merits, but on the
basis of who proposed them.

While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected
City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from
the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents
rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin's
attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew
her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the
Librarian are on her enemies list to this day.

Sarah complained about the �old boy�s club� when she first ran for
Mayor, so what did she bring Wasilla? A new set of "old boys". Palin
fired most of the experienced staff she inherited. At the City and as
Governor she hired or elevated new, inexperienced, obscure people,
creating a staff totally dependent on her for their jobs and eternally
grateful and fiercely loyal--loyal to the point of abusing their power
to further her personal agenda, as she has acknowledged happened in the
case of pressuring the State�s top cop (see below).

As Mayor, Sarah fired Wasilla�s Police Chief because he �intimidated�
her, she told the press. As Governor, her recent firing of Alaska's top
cop has the ring of familiarity about it. He served at her pleasure
and she had every legal right to fire him, but it's pretty clear that
an important factor in her decision to fire him was because he wouldn't
fire her sister's ex-husband, a State Trooper. Under investigation
for abuse of power, she has had to admit that more than 2 dozen
contacts were made between her staff and family to the person that she
later fired, pressuring him to fire her ex-brother-in-law. She tried to
replace the man she fired with a man who she knew had been reprimanded
for sexual harassment; when this caused a public furor, she withdrew
her support.

She has bitten the hand of every person who extended theirs to her in
help. The City Council person who personally escorted her around town
introducing her to voters when she first ran for Wasilla City Council
became one of her first targets when she was later elected Mayor. She
abruptly fired her loyal City Administrator; even people who didn�t
like the guy were stunned by this ruthlessness.

Fear of retribution has kept all of these people from saying anything
publicly about her.

When then-Governor Murkowski was handing out political plums, Sarah got
the best, Chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission: one
of the few jobs not in Juneau and one of the best paid. She had no
background in oil & gas issues. Within months of scoring this great
job which paid $122,400/yr, she was complaining in the press about the
high salary. I was told that she hated that job: the commute, the
structured hours, the work. Sarah became aware that a member of this
Commission (who was also the State Chair of the Republican Party)
engaged in unethical behavior on the job. In a gutsy move which some
undoubtedly cautioned her could be political suicide, Sarah solved all
her problems in one fell swoop: got out of the job she hated and
garnered gobs of media attention as the patron saint of ethics and as a
gutsy fighter against the �old boys� club� when she dramatically quit,
exposing this man�s ethics violations (for which he was fined).

As Mayor, she had her hand stuck out as far as anyone for pork from
Senator Ted Stevens. Lately, she has castigated his pork-barrel
politics and publicly humiliated him. She only opposed the �bridge to
nowhere� after it became clear that it would be unwise not to.

As Governor, she gave the Legislature no direction and budget
guidelines, then made a big grandstand display of line-item vetoing
projects, calling them pork. Public outcry and further legislative
action restored most of these projects--which had been vetoed simply
because she was not aware of their importance--but with the unobservant
she had gained a reputation as �anti-pork�.

She is solidly Republican: no political maverick. The State party
leaders hate her because she has bit them in the back and humiliated
them. Other members of the party object to her self-description as a
fiscal conservative.

Around Wasilla there are people who went to high school with Sarah.
They call her �Sarah Barracuda� because of her unbridled ambition and
predatory ruthlessness. Before she became so powerful, very ugly
stories circulated around town about shenanigans she pulled to be made
point guard on the high school basketball team. When Sarah's
mother-in-law, a highly respected member of the community and
experienced manager, ran for Mayor, Sarah refused to endorse her.

As Governor, she stepped outside of the box and put together of package
of legislation known as �AGIA� that forced the oil companies to march
to the beat of her drum.

Like most Alaskans, she favors drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge. She has questioned if the loss of sea ice is linked to
global warming. She campaigned �as a private citizen� against a state
initiaitive that would have either a) protected salmon streams from
pollution from mines, or b) tied up in the courts all mining in the
state (depending on who you listen to). She has pushed the State�s
lawsuit against the Dept. of the Interior�s decision to list polar
bears as threatened species.

McCain is the oldest person to ever run for President; Sarah will be a
heartbeat away from being President.

There has to be literally millions of Americans who are more
knowledgeable and experienced than she.

However, there�s a lot of people who have underestimated her and are
regretting it.

CLAIM VS FACT
��Hockey mom�: true for a few years
��PTA mom�: true years ago when her first-born was in elementary
school, not since
��NRA supporter�: absolutely true
�social conservative: mixed. Opposes gay marriage, BUT vetoed a bill
that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships
(said she did this because it was unconsitutional).
�pro-creationism: mixed. Supports it, BUT did nothing as Governor to
promote it.
��Pro-life�: mixed. Knowingly gave birth to a Down�s syndrome baby
BUT declined to call a special legislative session on some pro-life
legislation
��Experienced�: Some high schools have more students than Wasilla has
residents. Many cities have more residents than the state of Alaska.
No legislative experience other than City Council. Little hands-on
supervisory or managerial experience; needed help of a city
administrator to run town of about 5,000.
�political maverick: not at all
�gutsy: absolutely!
�open & transparent: ??? Good at keeping secrets. Not good at
explaining actions.
�has a developed philosophy of public policy: no
��a Greenie�: no. Turned Wasilla into a wasteland of big box stores
and disconnected parking lots. Is pro-drilling off-shore and in ANWR.
�fiscal conservative: not by my definition!
�pro-infrastructure: No. Promoted a sports complex and park in a city
without a sewage treatment plant or storm drainage system. Built
streets to early 20th century standards.
�pro-tax relief: Lowered taxes for businesses, increased tax burden on
residents
�pro-small government: No. Oversaw greatest expansion of city
government in Wasilla�s history.
�pro-labor/pro-union. No. Just because her husband works union
doesn�t make her pro-labor. I have seen nothing to support any claim
that she is pro-labor/pro-union.

WHY AM I WRITING THIS?

First, I have long believed in the importance of being an informed
voter. I am a voter registrar. For 10 years I put on student voting
programs in the schools. If you google my name (Anne Kilkenny +
Alaska), you will find references to my participation in local
government, education, and PTA/parent organizations.

Secondly, I've always operated in the belief that "Bad things happen
when good people stay silent". Few people know as much as I do because
few have gone to as many City Council meetings.

Third, I am just a housewife. I don't have a job she can bump me out
of. I don't belong to any organization that she can hurt. But, I am no
fool; she is immensely popular here, and it is likely that this will
cost me somehow in the future: that�s life.

Fourth, she has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100
or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian against Sarah's
attempt at censorship.

Fifth, I looked around and realized that everybody else was afraid to
say anything because they were somehow vulnerable.

CAVEATS
I am not a statistician. I developed the numbers for the increase in
spending & taxation 2 years ago (when Palin was running for Governor)
from information supplied to me by the Finance Director of the City of
Wasilla, and I can't recall exactly what I adjusted for: did I adjust
for inflation? for population increases? Right now, it is impossible
for a private person to get any info out of City Hall--they are
swamped. So I can't verify my numbers.

You may have noticed that there are various numbers circulating for the
population of Wasilla, ranging from my "about 5,000", up to 9,000. The
day Palin�s selection was announced a city official told me that the
current population is about 7,000. The official 2000 census count was
5,460. I have used about 5,000 because Palin was Mayor from 1996 to
2002, and the city was growing rapidly in the mid-90�s.

Took my versa to the Dyno! (vid)

I took my versa to the dyno yesterday down in long beach at Do It Dyno. they were havin a dyno day so i decided to go for the hell of it. it was rediculously hot and crazy humid. but was still a ton of fun.
I have an AEM cai, 2.25''custom cat-back exhaust (magnaflow muffler) and the car pulled the best on the 2nd pull, at 113.8hp and 117.9 ft-lbs. I was hoping for 115hp, but it was a miserably hot day and cold air was simply nowhere to be found. but im proud of my versa and i left with a smile.
it was kinda funny because there were pple w. crazy g35's and z's out there and they were all curious on what the econ versa would do. and i must say, the exhaust is out of control, its has a low deep tone, and then opens up in the higher rpms very VERY nicely. the pulls were done in 3rd gear.

Whats Wrong With My Deck!

Subject: Eclipse CD8053

Problem: I get a "thump" from the subs when i turn it off, switch radio stations, take out cd's, and switch from radio to cd.

Suggestion made so far: Bad ground

I have attempted to solve this by grounding it to bare metal on the chassi of my car. It still continues to harrass me(you little fcker!). Could it be the ground wire got disconnected in the wire harness(internal problem in the wire harness). I've switched out the deck with others and its not my amps or subs(its only with the subs i've noticed it). Could it just be a bad deck? When I first bought it, I didnt have subs connected until about a year later. I've also noticed that lately the face of the deck is getting hot and the cd's are HOT HOT when i pull them out and switch them. All signs pointing to too much electricity in the deck, but its attached properly.

I want this problem solved! I want different subs, but I dont want to throw money into new subs, if the deck is just going to damage them. This is a really great sounding deck, except for this really damaging flaw.

Any suggestions?

Well I live in Johnson City, Tn. I just traded my EG and ITR swapped EK for a 2003 350z. I like the hell out of it too. It has a few carbon piece's, Injen exhaust, and 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 Volk GT-C's on it right now.

ok i can not find the radio fuse anywhere .
my radio stop working from a faulty power wire. it is an after-market radio i put in myself but i swapped it with the stock when it stop working and the stock will not play only the light will go on which leads me to believe that it a fuse and or relay but i still cant find it. everything work so i know it not tied in to anything else. so how do i fix this and if there is a fuse are is it located http://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...id=99#

heard plenty of mixed comments on test pipes as far as back pressure loss. Do test pipes greatly improve power on the twin turbo models or avoid test pipes? just looking for a quick power gain.

I just got myself a GTS-T from Japan, but I am having trouble with it. It seems t have like 180 - 190 bhp, and not the 250 it should have. (My 150bhp Mitsubishi Colt CZT is faster!!)

The turbo seems to work as it should, doing 0.5 bar untill about 5k revs, then up to 0.7bar. Very stable. The dump also sounds nice. When giving full power i can feel a slight (dont know the word for this) bump, like it wants to do alot more, but something brakes it down. All hoses are as they should. The turbine is tight and good. Need help! :-(

I just receive my Stillen Front Lip and want to install it myself. Does anyone know the correct way to install the Lip? It came with 4 screws and 6 pins. What exactly are the pins for? and where should the 4 screws be located? If anyone installed the Lip and has pictures, that would help alot! or just post pictures of where the installer attached the screws and pins. Thanks

Hi everybody. I'm from Russia, so forgive me for my english.
I have a car - Nissan Cima (for Japan), engine VK45DD (Neo Di).
I have a problem: on the indicator panel is alight the sign of check-engine and the scanner show the error code P0335 (CKP sensor). I suspect of irregularity of synchronization of circuitry of distribution of gas. So, may be somebody have the diagram of synchronization to understand that is problem or no.

I am just trying to find out the price range of rebuilding my own ka in my garage, and the difficulty of doing it. I figure like I have been told the machine shop will do most of the work correct? Also plan on using the piston and rods I have now which have about 900 miles on them this shouldn't be a problem right?

if you could help me no every single part that I will have to replace as well like... pistons rings rod bearings???

I gave Tim a chance. I gave him a way out that would have allowed him to survive, not because I cared about his life, but because I didn't want to deal with the mess involved in killing him.

Well, he continued to play games, and I had enough. Tonight, I took action and ended his life.

This is the humane trap I purchased. He was clever enough to go in and grab the cracker and get a lick of peanut butter. I heard him struggling with the trap door in my room, but he managed to break free. He then continued to play with the trap and get more free licks of Peter Pan.

I gave him a chance. He could have just walked in, taken the bait, enjoyed a meal, and waited for me to put him outside. Instead, he decided to keep getting free food at my expense and effort. I had enough.

I have a roommate who has a TON of crap, and its EVERYWHERE. After seeing the mouse, who we named Tim after my horribly annoying cousin, I finally gathered up his crap and put it on the couch. I then cleaned the rest of the living room.

It was yesterday, while I was baking some chicken, that I saw little Tim run out from the fridge and hide behind the washing machine. The laundry closet had a door, so I figured I'd set a mess-free humane trap and close the doors to keep him from running away.

But that plan failed. I finally went to Wal-Mart and set two old-fashioned spring traps. You can't beat 100 year old technology.

I went out to the kitchen every couple hours to see if the traps caught him, and finally it did. POW!

RIP, Tim.

i need a tps, new plugs, a radiator, and a few other odds and ends that i will post up later. can i just go to autozone and get the plugs? what do i ask for when i go? are there any tps....sensors that interchange? where is the best place to get a radiator and what do you recommend? last but not least, on the 5 lug conversion, what is the best route to go? there is a 300z at the junk yard, what all do i need to pull off to do the swap? will i need the calipers? is there any advantage to getting the swap kits from ebay?

I miss my manual climate control...

Sure, the digital climate control looks cool. Digital displays and buttons will always have a strange appeal (unless you're Douglas Adams)...especially when they're in cars from an era where that was advanced stuff.

But the Q's climate control leaves me desperately wanting my Maxima's manual controls back.

It's been pretty cold around here lately, especially in the mornings (finally started warming up saturday). So I've been wanting to warm up the car for the morning commute. The problem is that the climate control module and I have different ideas of how that should be done.
The Climate Control module thinks that I want it to warm the cabin up to a certain temperature. I don't. All I want is hot air blowing on me. In the Maxima, I would often drive around in the winter with my windows down (I much prefer having at least one window down while driving) and the heater cranked to full heat and dash vents. Kept me warm and I got fresh air.
No go in the Q. Instead I get lukewarm air that will, in maybe an hour or so, warm up the cabin to my chosen temperature.

I don't CARE about the temp in terms of degrees. I want warm-to-the-touch air coming out of the vents. Even if I turn the thermostat up to the max at 85 (a stupidly low maximum) I get only moderately warm air at best (and this is with ambient temps at ~65 degrees). Never hot. Never enough to warm ME up...just the cabin.

I have a feeling I'm only going to dislike the climate control more as it gets colder outside. It's a good thing the seat is heated.

Other things I don't like about the climate control:
I CAN NOT choose the fan speed with fresh air ventilation mode. As soon as I fiddle with the fan speed, it turns off vent mode and activates A/C (or heater) dependent on the temp setting. And vent mode always turns the blower on too high.

Which brings me to my next complaint: the blower speeds are too high, the variance between them is too great, and there NEED to be more than 4. Blower speed setting 4 is category 5 hurricane stuff. I doubt I'll ever need the fan on THAT high.

Climate control works fine for A/C but is useless for heating. This is exactly what I DON'T need because I hate cold and enjoy heat. I used my A/C maybe half a dozen times this summer...

I wonder if it's possible to swap in a Maxima/240sx manual control in place of the auto? I know the 240 guys swap Maxima auto units into their cars...
Or maybe there's a thermostat I need to replace.

So my story...
I have a 1990 300zx, The engine had been slipping and it smelled of burning transmission fluid.
The last time I drove it The rpm was waaaaayyyyy up and the car was struggling to do 30mph.

I had taken it to a few shops and let them listen to it and they told me it sounded like my timing belt was slipping so I payed a friend to change my timing belt... and of course he took the car apart then never actually came back, so I have had for the past oh 6 months a car taken apart in my garage.

So I have another friend coming to put the car back together so he can trouble shoot, but he said it sounded like my torque converter may be going out.

What are some symptoms of a torque converter going out in a 1990 300zx (automatic)

well. i was just drifting at a shcool parking lot. and yea police came and say he will cite me for reckless driving 2mrow. he got all my info and what not. so.. wut am i looking at here? a big fine or wut? For people out there who says street drifting is stupid, dangerous, or w/e i drifted in a empty parking lot at 9pm, and the closes house is 5 mins away. so yea im not hurting anyone.
